SHEBOYGAN FALLS, WIS. — Custom injection molder Bemis Manufacturing Co. has named a president and CEO, James Feiertag, an executive of another Wisconsin manufacturer, Twin Disc Inc. in Racine.
At Bemis, Feiertag assumes the role formerly held by Richard Bemis, who served as interim CEO after the deal of his brother, Peter Bemis, on Oct. 9, 2013. Peter Bemis died of cancer at age 66.
Most recently Feiertag was executive vice president of Twin Disc, with responsibility for European and Asian operations, plus global sourcing. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater and an MBA from Marquette University.
Traded on Nasdaq, Twin Disc generated fiscal 2014 sales of $263.9 million, and net earnings of $3.64 million. The company makes power transmission equipment for marine and off-highway power transmission. Twin Disc’s products include drives, transmissions, propellers, gear boxes, air clutches and torque converters.
Privately held Bemis is about the same size, with estimated sales of $240 million, according toPlastics News’ ranking of injection molders.
In the past year, Bemis Manufacturing has lost two key executives, both to cancer. Gary Vande Berg, vice president of engineering, and a 34-year company veteran, died on May 25, 2014.
